Located in the historic neighbourhood of Graça, the project redefines the interior of a traditional optical store through a restrained and tactile architectural language.
The intervention departs from the conventional clinical character often associated with healthcare environments, proposing instead a space structured by material continuity and calibrated light. Natural timber defines the shelving and custom furniture, introducing warmth and texture while organising the display system along the perimeter.
Intermediate display zones incorporate preserved moss panels, forming a continuous green band that softens the transition between planes and reinforces the material coherence of the interior.
Translucent curtains in ochre tones operate as subtle spatial filters, introducing depth and a controlled sense of movement without fragmenting the layout. A deep blue ceiling and upper covings add spatial contrast and conceal technical infrastructure, allowing focused lighting to enhance the product display.
The façade respects the existing architectural character of the building while introducing a discreet contemporary presence, integrating the store into the urban fabric of Graça.

Localizada no bairro histórico da Graça, a intervenção reorganiza o interior de uma óptica tradicional através de uma linguagem arquitectónica contida e táctil.
O projecto afasta-se do carácter excessivamente clínico frequentemente associado a espaços de saúde, propondo um ambiente estruturado pela continuidade material e pela luz cuidadosamente calibrada. A madeira natural define prateleiras e mobiliário desenhado à medida, introduzindo textura e calor enquanto organiza o sistema expositivo ao longo do perímetro.
Nas zonas intermédias de exposição, painéis de musgo preservado formam uma faixa contínua que suaviza a transição entre planos e reforça a coerência material do interior.
Cortinas translúcidas em tons ocre funcionam como filtros espaciais subtis, introduzindo profundidade sem fragmentar a planta. O tecto em azul profundo e as sancas superiores criam contraste e permitem integrar as infra-estruturas técnicas, enquanto a iluminação direccionada valoriza o produto com precisão.
A fachada respeita as características arquitectónicas existentes do edifício, introduzindo uma presença contemporânea discreta e integrando-se na malha urbana da Graça.
